Meet Our Dream Team 〰️

Meet Steve Chapman!

Director of Business Development

Steve has worked in the industry for nearly his entire professional career and in many capacities. He coaches handcycling for the Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital Handcycling Team as well as the Mary Free Bed Wheelchair Sports Camp. He has also been a peer mentor for newly injured individuals and their families, and counts mentoring as one of the most important things he does. His love for adaptive sports and the outdoors inspired the creation of Creative Ability Solutions, LCC in September 2024.

Steve is an adaptive athlete, competing in and supporting others in adaptive sports since 1987. He sustained a spinal cord injury in 1984. Shortly afterward, he was introduced to adaptive sports, first competing in wheelchair basketball and tennis, and later, when his son, Dillon, was old enough to learn to ride a bike, he got into handcycling. He has competed in handcycling, tennis, and basketball across the country, earning national championships in basketball and handcycling. He also enjoys alpine skiing (in his monoski), water skiing, snowmobiling, 4-wheeling, hunting, and kayaking with family.

Patti is newer to the adaptive sports world, but her love for supporting the community is real. She has been a cyclist and all-around athlete for 25 years. In that time, she has gained expertise through her involvement in leading cycling groups, coaching cycling, working as a bike mechanic and a salesperson and fitter in 3 bike shops, and racing in several different cycling disciplines. She is Steve’s partner in crime and enjoys skiing, kayaking, traveling and being outdoors with Steve whenever the opportunity presents itself.

Her other professional expertise is in education. A teacher for 34 years, she has a passion for growing the sport through educational experiences and learning. Being a newbie at many sports and activities herself, she hasn’t forgotten what it means to take on a new thing. With that in mind, she is here to support your passion, whether you are new or an experienced athlete.

Meet Patti Bills!

Chief Opperating Officer

Meet Dillion Chapman!

Chief Financial Officer

Dillon’s connection to adaptive sports has been a central part of his entire life. As Steve’s son, he has been at his side as they both learned to ride bikes and downhill ski. He rode his bike across the state of Michigan with Steve when he was 10 years old, and has been an avid cyclist ever since.

Dillon has experience working in bike shops, and in the durable medical equipment industry. He has also supported dozens of adaptive sports teams and events such as the Mary Free Bed Wheelchair Sports Camp, adaptive ski organizations in Michigan, and various handcycling events. He is an expert learner, a wicked-fast cyclist, and dynamic all-around athlete. Dillon is currently studying to be a CPA, and enjoys cycling, skiing, hunting, and camping with his wife, Grace, and daughter, Aurora.
